JCC Polypay Stud Rams
University of Wisconsin 530
When Todd and I start talking rams you know something is going to happen and it did!  Todd has our #57 ram, sired by 840 and we came away with 530, a ram that we used mainly on ewe lambs last year but was our main stud this year.  He recently sold to Yancy Paul in the Proven Polypay Sire sale for $2,500.  He is one of the last 5062Y sons -- a great genetic line.

We worked out an arrangement with our good friend and fellow Polypay breeder Mark VanRoekel to breed one of his top ewes to our #7 ram from last year with us being able to get a ram lamb should one be born.  Lucky us!  This guy has the EBVs we have been wanting for years -- good for every trait!  He will be seeing all of the ewes that 530 doesn't.

We got a call from Mark VanRoekel one day saying that he had just purchased this ram from Henke Polypays in Missouri and if we would be willing to pick him up for Mark, we could use him for one heat period for August lambs.  Talk about a lucky day!  We don't have a ton of lambs out of him because of the short time we had him, but the ones we do have look great and he is a complete outcross to our other lines.
